The images presented here were taken while driving across Nevada along Highway 50, "the loneliest road in America." As desolate as it is it is also fascinating. This is high desert country where any kind of weather can happen at any time. I have driven this highway a number of times and have seen it in many conditions. Day, night, snow, heat, wind, rain, fog. You name it. When I drove across it in January 2013 I counted 6 other cars between Delta, UT and Ely, NV, a distance of 153 miles. All 6 were within 10 miles of either town. Lonely indeed.
